Math Map - Students find places of mathematical interest from the country they are from, this could include a place where there is a math activity ( such as a math trail)/where math is done (university or math department)/birthplace of a famous mathematician/ something built

or natural environment with mathematics significance.


The highlights of the activity were-


Students highlighting different parts of the world where mathematicians are from

  • Students trying some quick tricks for quick mental math problems

  • Students research number systems of their country of origin and try to find out facts in their regional language, dialect.


As learners our students welcome new challenges and meet them innovatively, resourcefully, creatively and imaginatively. Certain qualities that are nurtured by Mathematics are power of reasoning, creativity, abstract or spatial thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving ability and even effective communication skills. They are keen to learn new skills and are receptive to new ideas.
